Kobe Bryant live-tweeted his analysis of the first playoff game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.

Bryant is at home recovering from his April 13 surgery to repair a torn left Achilles’ tendon.

The Spurs beat the Lakers 91-79. You can see Bryant’s frustration at the outcome.

Kobe Bryant vented on Facebook following serious injury

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant vented on his official Facebook page after he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon. It’s the most significant injury he’s had in his 17-year career.

“This is such BS!” Bryant wrote. “All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I’ve done millions of times!”

The Lakers fired Mike Brown in part because of Jerry Buss’ failing health

Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak told CBS Radio that the decision to fire head coach Mike Brown after just five games was due, in part, to team owner Jerry Buss’ failing health.

“The one thing that was a big factor is our lack of patience,” Kupchak said. “When we made the changes we made in the offseason, we really did it with probably a two-year window to do our best and win a championship. And clearly we knew Dr. Buss was not in great health, and we were hoping for the next year or two we could put something on the court that would result in being in the hunt at the end of the year for a championship.”

But Lakers fans clearly want Jackson to return.

“It’s neck and neck,” a source said.

The Lakers are expected to reach out to both men as early as Saturday morning, along with several other candidates.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is telling fans to calm down and be patient given their 0-2 start.

“I’ll say it for (Lakers coach Mike Brown): Everybody shut up,” Bryant said. “Let us work. And at the end of the day, you’ll be happy with the result.”

Kobe Bryant leads the 2012-13 NBA money list with $27.8 million

The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant will make $27,849,149 next season, according to Hoopsworld.com — that’s $7 million more than anyone else in the NBA.

But who says he’s not worth it?

Bryant has played for the Lakers since 1996. The team has won five NBA titles while Bryant has been a Laker. He’s won two NBA scoring titles and has been a first-team All-NBA selection eight times. Bryant is a 14-time All Star and four-time All-Star MVP.

Kobe Bryant optimistic about Lakers’ championship chances with Steve Nash

Kobe Bryant is a lot more optimistic about the Los Angeles Lakers’ chances of winning a sixth NBA title with Steve Nash joining the team.

“He gives us a much, much better chance,” Bryant said. “He’s a terrific shooter. And shooting is something that was lacking for us. His ability to be a playmaker for others out of the pick and roll is one of the best we’ve ever seen. He has a high basketball IQ, in terms of being a coach out on the floor.”

Lakers land Nash, NBA championship contenders?

Two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash is going to the Los Angeles Lakers. He successfully negotiated a sign-and-trade deal from the Phoenix Suns.

ESPN.com reports that Kobe Bryant persuaded Nash to join the Lakers. The move could put the Lakers in contention for an NBA title and allows Nash to play for a team that’s just a short plane trip away from his three kids in Phoenix.
