Report: Jose Canseco passes polygraph, claims it’s proof he didn’t rape woman

Former Major League Baseball star and admitted PED user Jose Canseco took a polygraph test, which he said proves he innocent of the rape charges against him.

“Just passed the polygraph exam,” Canseco tweeted. “Skip Ensley said it’s the cleanest he has ever seen. He said I am obviously innocent. I am the victim, not Susie.”

New York Mets fans cheered and chanted “USA! USA!” after Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, was taken into custody Friday night.

The Mets broadcast the news on their Jumbotron at Citi Field as they played the Washington Nationals.

NY Yankees’ Derek Jeter had to learn to walk again

New York Yankees slugger and captain Derek Jeter expects to be ready to play on opening day, but he spent his offseason riding around his house in a scooter as he recovered from his broken left ankle.

“I don’t want to make it sound more dramatic than it is, but you have to learn to walk again,” Jeter said. “In that sense, physically it was a challenge. Mentally, it was a challenge when you are sitting on the couch and you can’t get anywhere. So I had a little scooter to move around. It was tough. It was not fun.”

NBC’s Bob Costas delivered the emotional eulogy for Hall of Famer and St. Louis Cardinals legend Stan “The Man” Musial, who passed away at 92.

Musial played for the Cardinals from 1941 to 1963. That’s right — he played for the same team for 22 years.

In fact, Musial was so revered in St. Louis, that two statues of him stand outside Busch Stadium.

He was considered one of the greatest hitters of all time (3,630 hits).

Feds and MLB investigate A-Rod adviser for possible PED link

The Drug Enforcement Administration and Major League Baseball are investigating Alex Rodriguez’s nutrition and training adviser for possible links to performance enhancing drugs, NYDailyNews.com reports.

Anthony Bosch, a well-known figure among Latin ballplayers in South Florida, has advised the 37-year-old Yankees slugger and third baseman on nutrition, dietary supplements and training.

A source told the Daily News that Rodriguez and Bosch consulted with at least one other expert about blood test results.

Are the Atlanta Braves’ new batting practice caps racist or nostalgic?

The Atlanta Braves are bringing back what some call the “screaming Indian” logo for their batting practice caps in 2013.

Every few years, all 30 Major League Baseball teams get new designs for their batting practice caps, but for some reason the Braves have decided to go with questionable imagery that they used from 1967 to 1989.

Bryan Stow — the San Francisco Giants fan who was brutally beaten outside Dodger Stadium during the team’s season opener in 2011— watched his Giants win Game 2 of the World Series as a guest of the team.

This photo from KTVU-TV in Oakland shows Stow in a wheelchair at AT&T Park Thursday night.

It’s believed to be Stow’s first appearance at a MLB game since his brutal beating on March 31, 2011. Stow sustained serious brain injuries during the attack.

Report: Yankees’ Granderson will visit eye doctor after strikeout-plagued playoffs

New York Yankees centerfielder Curtis Granderson is going to get his eyes checked after he struck out 16 times during 30 at-bats during the playoffs, not to mention the 195 whiffs he had during the regular season.

A source told the New York Daily News that the Yankees plan to send Granderson to an ophthalmologist to determine if poor eyesight is the cause of his batting problems.
