West Virginia’s Tavon Austin fell flat on his face when he tried to celebrate his 45-yard touchdown run in the third quarter of the high-scoring West Virginia vs. Baylor game.

Austin scored. He tossed the ball. He walked slowly and pointed at the crowd. But he mistimed his chest bump with a teammate. The result was a little embarrassing.

Four TCU football players arrested in drug sting

Fifteen TCU students, including four football players, were arrested following a six-month police investigation that included students allegedly selling drugs to undercover officers.

“All of those arrested are drug dealers,” TCU Police Chief Steven McGee said.

The four players arrested are linebacker Tanner Brock, the team’s leading tackler in 2010; offensive tackle Tyler Horn; cornerback Devin Johnson: and defensive lineman D.J. Yendry.

Report: Heisman Winner Robert Griffin III To Enter NFL Draft

Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III is expected to enter the 2012 NFL Draft, according to ESPN.

Griffin texted ESPN.com’s David Ubben on Sunday and said he hasn’t decided. But Griffin’s father, Robert Griffin II, said Saturday night it’s a matter of when, not if.

Oklahoma wide receiver Jaz Reynolds suspended for insensitive tweets

It was fast, decisive and the right action to take.

The Oklahoma Sooners suspended wide receiver Jaz Reynolds indefinitely following stupid and insensitive tweets he made in the wake of a shooting at the University of Texas at Austin.

Last week, a UT-Austin student with an assault rifle opened fire on campus before fleeing to the university library and committing suicide.

Shortly after the incident was reported, Reynolds tweeted: “Hey everyone in Austin, tx…….kill yourself #evillaugh.”
