Mets fans chant “USA! USA!” following capture of bombing suspect (Video)

New York Mets fans cheered and chanted “USA! USA!” after Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, was taken into custody Friday night.

The Mets broadcast the news on their Jumbotron at Citi Field as they played the Washington Nationals.

Bob Costas’ emotional eulogy for Stan “The Man” Musial  (Video)

NBC’s Bob Costas delivered the emotional eulogy for Hall of Famer and St. Louis Cardinals legend Stan “The Man” Musial, who passed away at 92.

Musial played for the Cardinals from 1941 to 1963. That’s right — he played for the same team for 22 years.

In fact, Musial was so revered in St. Louis, that two statues of him stand outside Busch Stadium.

He was considered one of the greatest hitters of all time (3,630 hits).

Are the Atlanta Braves’ new batting practice caps racist or nostalgic?

The Atlanta Braves are bringing back what some call the “screaming Indian” logo for their batting practice caps in 2013.

Every few years, all 30 Major League Baseball teams get new designs for their batting practice caps, but for some reason the Braves have decided to go with questionable imagery that they used from 1967 to 1989.

Bryan Stow — the San Francisco Giants fan who was brutally beaten outside Dodger Stadium during the team’s season opener in 2011— watched his Giants win Game 2 of the World Series as a guest of the team.

This photo from KTVU-TV in Oakland shows Stow in a wheelchair at AT&T Park Thursday night.

It’s believed to be Stow’s first appearance at a MLB game since his brutal beating on March 31, 2011. Stow sustained serious brain injuries during the attack.

The Washington Nationals told pitching ace Stephen Strasburg that his last start of the season would be Sept. 12, in order to keep his elbow healthy following his 2010 Tommy John surgery.

That means Strasburg won’t compete in a likely pennant race, even though his team has the best record in Major League Baseball.

San Francisco Giants’ slugger and All-Star Game MVP Melky Cabrera tried to avoid the 50-game drug suspension that he received last week by allegedly creating a bogus website and supplement as part of a cover-up, the New York Daily News reports.

The goal: To create the impression that he inadvertently took a banned substance.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and may face criminal charges for allegedly pointing a laser at San Francisco Giants pitcher Shane Loux during Monday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

St. Louis police say he also pointed the laser at Cardinals manager Mike Matheny.

FOX Sports’ Joe Buck gave his version of a play-by-play call if the Chicago Cubs actually won the World Series. It’s purely hypothetical, of course.

Keep in mind that the last time the Cubs won the World Series was in 1908. The last time they appeared in the World Series was in 1945. That’s the longest World Series drought in the history of Major League Baseball.
