Justin Tuck’s new foul-proof facemask

June 12, 2012 NFC, NFL 5 Comments

Check it out.

New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck will be wearing a new foul-proof facemask when the season starts.

It’s designed to send a message to opponents: “Go ahead, just try to stick your fingers inside. I’ll take them with me.”

The new design has five horizontal bars and 12 diagonal bars. He wore it during a workout.

Tuck introduced an upgraded facemask last October when he suspected opponents tried to aggravate his neck injury by sticking their fingers in his old facemask and pulling. It looked like a grill.

So the new design for the 2012-13 season is clearly over-the-top.

If that doesn’t work, he could always try “The Silence of the Lambs” look.

Eagles fan here. This facemask is awesome, and good for him for getting it so players stop messing with his injury. I wish we had these back in high school.
