Video: Bulgarian sprinter breaks leg during 100-meter race
This video is not for the squeamish.
Bulgaria’s Georgi Kirilov Georgiev literally broke his leg during a 100-meter sprint at the European Championships in Helsinki.
We’re not talking about a torn hamstring. He broke his leg and dislocated his knee.
Georgiev took off in lane two and had a shot at winning the heat until the halfway point.
His right leg literally gave way as he slowed to a limp before collapsing to the ground.
Imagine the excruciating pain. He still got up and tried to walk it off.
Amazing!
