Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham arrested

September 24, 2012 NFC, NFL 1 Comment

Atlanta police arrested Falcons defensive end John Abraham.

Police were responding to a call about a woman threatening to jump from a building when Abraham refused to leave the scene.

Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said Abraham was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of police and obstruction of firefighters. He was booked at the Fulton County Jail.

Police said the woman — who did not jump — was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. She wasn’t injured.

Police officers moved people away from the scene and put up crime scene tape to restrict onlookers from the area.

Abraham reportedly entered the restricted area. A firefighter confronted him and “repeatedly ordered him to leave the scene.”

Atlanta police then responded and ordered Abraham to leave. Police said Abraham “refused and insisted on continuing (farther) into the scene.” That’s when police arrested him.

Neither Abraham, his agent, or the Falcons have issued a statement.

If it was someone he knew, or was at the location with her, then what would you expect him to do. Leave and hope all turns out well. Anyone would have stayed if it was someone they knew or was with at the time of the meltdown. We all have your back John. Go Falcons. Must be replacement cops, missed another call.
