Photo: Iowa students dressed up as Jerry Sandusky

Here’s a photo of four Iowa students who decided to dress up as Jerry Sandusky for the Iowa vs. Penn State Big Ten match-up in Iowa City.
The students wore black and white jail jumpsuits with Sandusky’s name on the back.
Chris Sherman, a 2008 Penn State grad who drove five hours for Saturday night’s game, was offended by what the Iowa students did. But he said it’s an isolated incident.
“That was a little distasteful,” Sherman said. “And you know, I’ve heard a comment here and there, but for the most part it’s been OK.”
Lawyers for Sandusky, a former Penn State assistant football coach, are seeking a new trial.
The 68-year-old Sandusky was sentenced to no less than 30 years in prison after being convicted in June of sexually abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period.
The NCAA hit Penn State with a $60 million sanction, a four-year football postseason ban and a vacation of all wins dating back to 1998, for the alleged cover-up of the Sandusky sexual abuse scandal.
Meantime, Penn State throttled Iowa 38-14 for its fifth straight win.

i think this team should be fined how unsportmen ship penn state players don’t need this just another act of bulling that didn’t work. just remember WE R PENN STATE
@ Bob, I certainly hope that not everyone in Iowa is this classless!!! This is truly a classless act!!! They should be ashamed of themselves. How did that work out for these heartless students? oh that’s right… intimidation did not work this time!! Grow up.
look closer, mom and dad seem to find the humor. Not a wonder where the kids get it from.maybe you should spend alittle more timecheering on your team than trying to bring other people down to your level.oh by the way, hang on to those duds because the way you are headed, you will need those clothes in a couple!!!! hopefully not everyone in iowaaaaaaaaa is this classless!!!

I’m from Iowa and embarrassed! I understand these students are still in high school and do not attend U of I. It’s still sad, nonetheless. The best team won!!
