Hope Solo 911 tapes from fight released (Video)

KOMO-TV in Seattle has obtained tapes of the 911 calls about the pre-wedding fight involving soccer star Hope Solo and her fiancée — now husband — former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens.

Stevens was arrested last November for fourth degree domestic violence assault after an argument with Solo, who is a two-time Olympic gold medalist.

The argument happened in Solo’s home in Kirkland, Wash., early in the morning on their wedding day on Nov. 12, 2012.

Russian soccer goalie Anton Shunin, who plays for Dynamo Moscow, suffered chemical burns to both eyes after some incredibly stupid fan tossed fireworks onto the soccer field.

The Russian Premier League match between Zenit St. Petersburg and Dynamo Moscow was called off with Dynamo leading 1-0.

You can see the fireworks explode near Shunin. He falls to the ground with his hands over his eyes.

Belgian soccer star Jonathan Legear, who plays for FC Terek Grozny, said he was “only slightly” over the legal alcohol limit after crashing his car into a gas station.

His Porsche plowed right through the gas station at 5:30 in the morning in the Belgium city of Tongeren last Sunday.

Legear reportedly pressed the accelerator by accident instead of the brake.

Video: Italian soccer players forced to remove jerseys

Irate Italian soccer fans demanded that the Genoa Serie A soccer team hand over their jerseys because they weren’t good enough to wear them.

It happened during Sunday’s match between Genoa and Siena.

Genoa fans were so upset that their team was losing 4-0 at one point, that they threw smoke bombs and firecrackers onto the field. Then they demanded that the players take off their shirts because they weren’t “worthy of the colors.”

Sporting Kansas City Welcomes Toronto FC In The Most Unusual Way

Let’s set the scene. Sporting Kansas City played Toronto FC in a Major League Soccer match in Kansas City over the weekend.

According to KCKRS, a soccer website, Kansas City’s video team didn’t have photos of Toronto’s players for the introductory video. So they decided to wing it.

They inserted images for Canadian icons Justin Bieber, Celine Dione, Dudley Do-Right, Bob and Doug McKenzie, William Shatner and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, among others.
