Two-time Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Shaun White cut a deal with prosecutors and will undergo alcohol treatment, perform 24 hours of community service, and pay restitution to the Nashville hotel that he allegedly trashed while drunk last September.
TMZ reports that prosecutors will drop the public intoxication charge against White if he fulfills his end of the bargain by January 25. They’ve already dismissed the vandalism charge.
White allegedly got so drunk on vodka at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel that he pulled a fire alarm and forced a mass evacuation, destroyed a hotel phone and ended up in the hospital after he hit his head and bruised his eye.
The craziness followed Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney’s wedding.
White won a gold medal at the 2006 Olympics and at the 2010 Vancouver Games. He’s also won medals every year since 2002 at the Winter X Games.
